Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compare English adaptations of "Lab Py Aati Hy Dua" by Allama Iqbal as translated by Molina and Albir Maunsell by assessing fidelity levels and their translation methods while studying thematic impact as an aesthetic element alongside comparing translation effectiveness. The analysis combined thematic and manifest content analyses and latent analysis methods to evaluate translation methods while protecting the poem's literal content and emotional resonance. The assessment indicates literal approaches guarantee direct translations however they fail to deliver comprehensive analysis while interpretive approaches enable deeper patient experience access at the expense of necessary content accuracy. Excellent translations merge literal interpretation with interpretive discussion into creative texts that maintain thematic consistencies but acknowledge their emotional impact. The analysis supports the necessity of developing complex inter-translation approaches that guard cultural-rich poetic elements.
