LEARNERS' PERCEPTION OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING AT TERTIARY LEVEL EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN

The study investigates English language learning in Pakistan from the perspective of both male and female students enrolled in 4year BS English program of public and private universities of Pakistan. For this purpose, simple random sampling technique is used for the data collection. Survey questionnaires on dichotomous scale were used to collect the data from one thousand students of both genders from ten universities of Pakistan to investigate their perceptions. The survey responses based on descriptive statistics were analyzed quantitatively.
