Abstract

The study focuses on the Da‘wah (propagational) implications derived from the ḥadīth of Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him): “There is no deed that brings one closer to Paradise except that I have commanded you to do it.”

Research Objective:
This research aims to study the ḥadīth of Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him): “There is no deed that brings one closer to Paradise except that I have commanded you to do it,” and to extract from it the Da‘wah-related meanings and implications relevant to both the preacher and the audience.

One of the greatest responsibilities of preachers is to guide their audiences toward what brings goodness and righteousness, and to warn them against every evil they know to be harmful.
Reliance upon Allah (tawakkul) provides the preacher with spiritual strength that enables steadfastness; instilling this value in the hearts of the audience protects them from falling into prohibitions.
Contentment with what Allah has provided and piety in both speech and action help preachers maintain sincerity in their mission, remain steadfast in their principles, and stay away from hypocrisy and greed.
