This research article explores the contemporary relevance of Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s thought through a cultural and intellectual lens. In an era marked by globalization, technological advancement, identity crises, and sociopolitical polarization, Iqbal’s philosophy offers timeless insights into selfhood, moral awakening, and collective transformation. The study analyzes how Iqbal’s ideas on Khudi (self-realization), spiritual freedom, human dignity, and cultural plurality serve as a constructive framework for addressing present-day global challenges. Employing a qualitative and interpretive methodology, the article draws upon Iqbal’s poetry, prose, and speeches, along with critical readings by scholars of Iqbaliyat. The findings reveal that Iqbal’s vision emphasizes dynamic thought, educational reform, and creative engagement with tradition—principles that resonate deeply in today’s intellectually fragmented and morally complex world. Furthermore, his call for inner awakening and societal justice offers a profound counter-narrative to materialism and ideological extremism. This article underscores the urgency of revisiting and reinterpreting Iqbal’s legacy in order to foster intercultural understanding, critical consciousness, and ethical leadership in the twenty-first century.
