Abstract

                   Ikram ullah is a well known Urdu fiction writer. He wrote novels and short story collections. In all his fictional writings he explains the idea o resistance , in hiآs stories , resistance is not shown through loud political slogans. Instead it appears in a quiet and thoughtful way. His character resist social pressure , old traditions, unfair systems and mental control. Ikram ullah uses symbol ,simple situation and inner thoughts of characters to show how people fight against injustice.his novels also highlights class differences, social hypocrisy and the power structures that influence every day life . the resistance in his work is both personal and social characters question their surroundings,challenge wrong norms and try to protect identity.this study shows that ikram ullahs novels add an important voice to modern urdu literature by presenting resistance as natural part of human thinking and social experience.
