This research paper discusses Ijma‘ (consensus) as a secondary source of Islamic jurisprudence, analyzed through Tafseer Ahsan-ul-Bayan. It explains the definition, authority, and evidences of Ijma‘ from the Qur’an, Sunnah, and rational proofs. The study emphasizes the unanimous agreement of scholars and jurists as a decisive proof in Islamic law. Through examples from Ahsan-ul-Bayan, it demonstrates how various Quranic verses reflect the practice and acceptance of Ijma. Ultimately, the paper concludes that Ijma, holds a binding and essential role in deriving Shariah rulings after the Qur’an and Sunnah.
