Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak is a prominent literary and social critic known for her rare intellectual perspectives. Her writings focus on postcolonial studies, feminism, and the concept of the "Other." Through her complex and multi-dimensional works, she has fundamentally challenged the narratives, intellectual frameworks, and power relations imposed during the colonial era. Her critical gaze has particularly centered on the representation and restoration of millions of anonymous and oppressed individuals whom colonial systems pushed to the margins, excluding them from the flows of history, culture, and identity. She has elucidated how colonial powers not only established dominance over geographical territories but also distorted minds, languages, and identities, creating a form of knowledge in which the individual voices, selves, and experiences of the colonized and subjugated people were systematically ignored or misrepresented. This article is an attempt to clarify her thought.
