The Mughal Emperor Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar imposed the Akbari religion in the subcontinent. Against which Sheikh Ahmed Sarhindi (Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Thani) and his companions struggled and finally the religion of Islam was revived again.
From the decline of the Mughal rule to the establishment of Pakistan, like other madrasas in the subcontinent, the academic services of the “Madrasa Rahimia” of Shah Abdul Rahim Dehlvi and his son Hazrat Shah Waliullah are also very prominent for the promotion and propagation of the religion of Islam. In the article under consideration, in addition to the services of Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Thani, the services of the Madrasa Rahimia have also been reviewed very briefly.
In the article under consideration, not only the services of Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Thani have been reviewed but also the services of the “Madrasa Rahimia” of Shah Abdul Rahim and his son Hazrat Shah Waliullah have been reviewed.
This research article is a historical and analytical study, which not only examines the services of Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Thani, but also the services of Shah Abdul Rahim and his son Hazrat Shah Waliullah at the Madrasa Rahimiya.
This article shows that the fabric of most of the well-known sects of the subcontinent, Deobandi, Ahle Hadith, Salafi, Aligarh-educated religious scholars, and the Pakistan Movement and the Islamic revival movements of the entire subcontinent, is traced back to the madrasa Rahimya. It is very important for scholars and the general public to know the details in this regard so that the wave of sectarianism can be controlled.
