POST-9/11 NEO-COLONIAL POWER AND THE CRISIS OF IDENTITY IN THE RELUCTANT FUNDAMENTALIST

Abstract

This Research paper deals with postcolonial perspectives of the novel Reluctant Fundamentalist. It unfolds the postcolonial key terms hidden behind the text like identity crises, immigration, appropriation and globalization. The study employs Ashcroft et al as theoretical framework and Frey at el method for analyzing text. This Research paper goes deeper into the post 9/11 happenings which were more terrifying for Muslims serving in USA than faced by the twins’ towers and people around or within it. A question mark was placed over their identities after that brain-child of a few extremists.
