Abstract

Memorizing the Quran at a young age is a significant process that holds profound educational, psychological, and spiritual importance. During childhood, the ability to absorb and retain information is notably stronger than in adulthood, making it an ideal period for committing the Quran to memory. This practice not only facilitates intellectual growth but also shapes the child’s character and fosters a deep-rooted connection with Islamic teachings. Children who memorize the Quran at an early age carry its teachings throughout their lives, embedding them into their cognitive and practical framework. Additionally, the process cultivates self-discipline, confidence, and perseverance—qualities that are invaluable for their future success. Effective methods for Quran memorization include structured educational planning, creating a supportive psychological environment, and adopting strategies such as setting fixed daily schedules, starting with short lessons, and ensuring regular repetition. The guidance of skilled teachers and parental encouragement further enhances the child’s ability to memorize. Integrating memorized verses into daily prayers strengthens retention and connects the child with the Quran's practical applications.
