Abstract

The rapid advancements in modern medicine have introduced new and complex challenges that demand careful consideration within the framework of Islamic law. The emergence of innovative medical treatments and technologies highlights the urgent need for scholarly focus on "Fiqh al-Tibb" (Islamic medical jurisprudence). Islam, which provides detailed guidance on various aspects of life, extends its ethical principles to the relationship between patients and healthcare providers. These principles offer a comprehensive and balanced framework that promotes justice, compassion, and moderation in medical practice, ensuring alignment with human needs. Recognizing the critical importance of both religious knowledge and the understanding of human physiology, there is a growing necessity to develop a code of ethics for the medical profession from an Islamic perspective. This article explores the ethical standards and guidelines prescribed by Islamic law for medical practice, aiming to create a robust framework that addresses the complex challenges of modern medicine while remaining firmly rooted in the enduring values of Islam.
