Abstract

The National Assembly of Pakistan has enacted several laws related to women's rights. One commendable law enacted during this period is the "Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, 2010." The long struggle for the implementation of this law, which lasted for many years, finally bore fruit and was implemented on March 9, 2010, during the tenure of the Pakistan People's Party. This legislation was enacted with the aim of creating a safe working environment for women, free from harassment, abuse and intimidation, so that they can exercise their right to work in a dignified manner, increase productivity and improve the quality of life. In the period 2010-2012, the National Assembly of Pakistan enacted laws related to women in general.Benazir Income Support Program Act, 2010 is one of those laws that every society makes some laws for its disabled, poor and needy men and women and imposes some responsibilities on them. These laws begin from childhood and end at the end of life.
