HARRIS KHALIQUE AS POET
Abstract
Modern Poetry in a departure from traditional poetic forms and topics and reflects the attitude and culture of the 20th century. Modern poetry refers to poetry written between 1890 and 1950 in the tradition of modernist literature. Harris Khalique is a well-known famous poet of Urdu, Punjabi and English literature. He is a modern poet, columns writer and social worker. His poetry is the reflection of human psychology. He is also known by his modern thought and progressive poetry. The most important aspect of his life is to work as a social worker for basic human rights on international level. His poetry and columns themes are open and modern. These columns carries the themes of everyday life issues of our society. In this article researcher discussed his poetic thoughts very briefly.
