Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a multifaceted role in academic writing. This study aims to examine the efficacy of advanced AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT and Perplexity, in producing argumentative writings. Using a qualitative methodology, the study examined information gathered via document reviews. These AI chatbots are excellent at writing persuasive essays, according to a thorough examination. The chatbots respond to predetermined instructions to produce text that is relevant to the topic at hand. The generated information is more pertinent and educational when the prompt is more specific. Furthermore, ChatGPT and Perplexity AI provide helpful writing advice and even recommend websites for additional help. However, it is crucial to recognize AI's limitations and strike a balance between its use and human development as well as the improvement of students' writing abilities.
