Abstract

This research article examines the life, thoughts, and poetry of Dr. Syed Ansar Azhar, focusing on his trilingual book Udas Aankhon Se Muskurana(اداس آنكھوں سے مسكرانا). The study shows that although the poet uses three different languages—Urdu, Punjabi, and Persian—his core message and spiritual feeling remain completely the same (Unity of Soul). Using a clear analytical approach, the paper explains how his Urdu poetry section reflects the deep sadness of Mir Taqi Mir and Nasir Kazmi, while his Punjabi verses express the humble Sufi tradition of Shah Hussain and Baba Bulleh Shah. In his Persian ghazals, he beautifully combines the classical ideas of Omar Khayyam, Jalaluddin Rumi, and Hafiz Shirazi. The article concludes that his poetry easily crosses linguistic boundaries to give a beautiful message of humanity and peace.
