Abstract

Arif Abdul Mateen has a very important role as a researcher, poet, progressive writer and critic. His contribution to Punjabi Language and Literature is remarkable. This article presents diverse features of Punjabi poems by Arif Abdul Mateen. His poetry is the reflection of social values. He raises voice for human rights as he always highlighted the issues of the common man. He discussed poverty, feudalism, injustice, exploitation and class division. This research is the acknowledgement of his efforts through Punjabi poems. A variety of topics have been discussed through poetic lines.
