This article presents a critical analysis of Prem Chand’s short story “Sawa Ser Gehun” in the light of economic theories. The story shows how, in every era and society, powerful people and unjust systems exploit workers and the lower class. It highlights how feudalism and the interest-based system deeply affect the lives of poor people. Once low-income individuals are forced to take loans with interest, they often become trapped in a cycle of debt. This burden is not only suffered by them but sometimes by future generations as well. As a result, the economic rights of the lower class are exploited, and they fall far behind in life. The article argues that to create a fair and peaceful society with just distribution of wealth, it is necessary to end feudal and exploitative interest-based systems so that low-income people can live secure and prosperous lives.
