THE EFFECT AND IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract

The traditional method of education and learning has now been replaced by the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI).The major effect of AI is faced by English language which is a effective tool for global interaction and communication. This paper will focuses on both positive and negative impact of AI on English language and the challenges faced by this AI . .Regarding these increasing technologies, teachers and students are more depending on AI generated tools like ChatGPT, Quilbot and much more. From positive point of view, these tools allow students specially non-native speakers to build up their confidence in writing by providing them quick responses, fast grammar check and editing recommendations etc. Somehow from negative point of view or challenging point of view there incorporation reduces their critical thinking skills. By creating a balance between advantages and disadvantages this research will examine that how the AI tools can be implicated for the learners of English language. By using a qualitative method ,it will evaluate that what are the drawbacks of fully relying on AI tools and it will offer suggestions for teachers that how could they ensure the effective use of AI writing in classes of English language. It will conclude that how to maintain a balanced approach while using AI in English language.
