DIGITAL SATIRE IN TIMES OF CONFLICT: A CRITICAL DISCOURSE ANALYSIS OF PAKISTANI MEMES ON CRICKET AND THE 2025 AERIAL INCIDENTS

The research paper focused on digital satires and memes in Pakistani society particularly in the year of 2025. The study aims to observe discourse and satire behind the memes. The current research takes place under the descriptive design. It is a qualitative research method. Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional model has been applied to analyze the satire digitally specifically Pakistani memes on cricket and aerial incidents 2025. Data is analyzed through close interpretation of memes. The study showed that how online satire specifically memes, humorous statements etc acts as a powerful form of discourse in Pakistan in 2025 during Pak-indo aerial incidents and cricket rivalry. The research proved that satires and humor serve not only as entertainment but also provides freedom pf speech to marginalized voices. They also coping mechanism during the period of political tension and social stress.
