Abstract

The Ideology of Pakistan is the result of centuries of struggle, intellectual development, and collective consciousness of the Muslims of the subcontinent. It was not merely a political demand; rather, it was an intellectual movement that united Muslims for their distinct identity, religious freedom, and cultural survival. As the end of British rule in the subcontinent approached, an important question arose: how would a region composed of different religions, cultures, and nations be organized after independence? In this context, Muslim leaders realized the need for a separate state, which later became clearly defined as the Ideology of Pakistan. The foundation of this ideology is based on the concept that Muslims and Hindus are two separate nations. Their religion, culture, history, language, and way of life are significantly different from each other. For this reason, Muslims desired a separate state where they could live according to their religious teachings and safeguard their political, social, and economic rights. This ideology brought Muslims together on a single platform and gave them a clear sense of purpose. The intellectual foundation of this ideology was laid by Allama Iqbal, while the practical struggle for its realization was led by Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Muhammad Ali Jinnah played the most prominent role in transforming the Ideology of Pakistan into reality. Along with them, there were many other notable personalities whose efforts significantly contributed to the foundation of Pakistan.
