Syed Mubarak Shah is a distinguished and uniqe voice in Urdu literature. The realationship between God and humanity emerges as a central and recurring theme in his poetry. Although the tradition of dialogue between God and humanity has long existed in urdu literature, Syed Mubarak Shah has reinterpreted this tradition through intellectual, philosophical, existential and protest dimensions .In his poetry humans are not portrayed as merely obedient and silent creatures;rather they appear as conscious, inquistivie and questioning beings who engage in dialogue with God concerning their existential significance, collective suffering and universal realities.This article examines Syed Mubarak Shah’s poems and ghazals from the perspective of a dialogic narrative.The study reveals that the realtionship between God and humanity in his poetic discoure extend beyond devotion and supplication,encompassing inquiry,quest,protest,love and philosophical reflection in divers forms.The article argues that Syed Mubarak Shah has transformed the human God dialogue into a distinctive intellectual and aesthetic experience in contemporary Urdu poetry.
